Landscape - mountain valley temple - part 2 (final)
Took about 3 hours I think but applied what I got from this tutorial
Like the artist in the video, it was my first time using masking for digital paintings. I feel like I still need to get use to using it and figure out what exactly I should be drawing out in the masking pen to color over with a brush.
I actually had to remember to make the mask inverse from what I had drawn, otherwise it would have been like a tracing utensil, ahaha.

Newsgame concept art - title screen art
In another class, our groups are making newsgames (games that, in some form, suppose to relay news message or report news...or something along those lines. I can't recall the exact definition.)
In my group, I'm in charge of making the background images for the flash game.
This is the title screen but I feel like I'm missing something so I'm going to label this as a WIP (Work in Progress.)

Corel Painter vs Photoshop
I have an issue of deciding now - I want to keep using Painter but certain effects might be easier on Photoshop. I should also learn to use Photoshop more if I plan on going into the game art field...But if I make the switch to Photoshop, when will I use Painter? I don't want it to be just sitting there like how Manga Studio is at the moment...
Unless I compromise and use Painter only when I want to draw art with certain brush effects (like the oils !) and definitely for rotoscoping.

Birthday gift - Lux
Not my usual style but I was trying to get to bed early so I had to skip my usual drawing style.

Another attempt at landscape - part 2 (final)
Landscape/scenery - The Grand Hotel, Taiwan.
Anyone who has been / went past Shilin District in Taiwan - I hope, despite my lack of details, this looks recognizable.
For the "leaves" effect, I used Impresionist brush in Corel Painter 12, rest was either Hard Pressure Airbrush or some gel brush that I completely forgot name of...
I probably didn't spend more than 4 hours on this, I think...

Another attempt at landscape - part 1
Minions!!! Colored
Colored in the Minions sketch I did yesterday. I think I took about 2-3 hours? This was most likely because I was playing around with lighting effects.

Oh landscapes
After watching an hour (give or take)'s worth of how to draw landscape (mountains, water, waterfall, etc), I'm going to try to draw landscape images using actual images (or google images...? or maybe even people's photos on dA if I could ) and draw them in my style. We shall see...it'll be interesting considering all the videos (except for 1) I saw were done in Photoshop and I used Painter (Corel Painter 12) due to having only Photoshop Essentials.
That reminds me, I need to find out what the difference is.
/edit Elements not Essentials.

Scenery - Police storming hideout part 3
Finally finished, I think. I feel like I didn't make the tower metallic enough though...

update on artwork upload rate
Well, first week of school passed and I'm able to figure out (roughly) when I can continue drawing during the school term.
It won't be a drawing a day like during the summer, however I should be able to get some parts of a drawing done during the week.
We'll see~!
