Clumsy me, I blame the heat!
It could be the heat getting to me or just bothering me just enough where I spill tea over part of my table. Luckily, it didn't get to anything important like my laptop and drawing tablet. It only got my calendar, scrit-scratch notebook and my hairtie bag, though I suppose thanks to the heat, everything but that last one is almost dry.

Colored Tattoo design
It turns out class was critiquing and cleaning up line work of our designs. I finally learned how to clean up my line work; pen tool + brush size/color using Stroke Path (right click work path of pen). This means I can clean up any line work in the future if my sketches turn messy. Downside is, lots of separation, which will drive me crazy if there's lots of details.
As per the class' advice, I combined two of my tattoo designs into one. Color choices were based off of cool color palettes with complementary colors to purple mainly. I think I went too painterly during the shading part on the fact and grabbed the "skin tone" into it as well, which kinda messed the tattoo when I placed it onto the skin image.

Valley of Hope - WIP1
I literally started this out with splashing on different colors together to see if ,color palette wise, this would work. From there, I really had no clear plan of what I was going to paint. I became this mountain terrain and a person and clouds and some open area.
I haven't decided fully on what kind of person the person will be so it's unrefined there. The lake will probably have a waterfall or some sort of downward flowing stream from it since I think that's how it's turning out in the image. I need to fix the mountains a bit more and add more background. I hope to get some textures in, either through image overlays or image referencing.

Bat Reaper - actual final WIP
So near the end of last week, I posted a blog post with the process for the bat reaper character design. However, last night, I started thinking about painting over those lines I had from the line work. Therefore, today, I painted over those lines and, unless I want to add more, this will be the final WIP.
It turns out I messed up on the hand while I was painting over the lines though so I repainted its left hand and adjusted brightness and contrast.

Designing tattoos that show who I am - WIP1
They're larger than the minimum the instructor set for us but I'm liking how these are turning out so far! Sadly, I don't have enough time to finish the inking/line art part tonight with an early morning class tomorrow morning; I've only got the outline for all 3 and part of the inner lines for the first tattoo design done.
First tattoo is the gaming me; League of Legends, Steam, headphones, keyboard and my mouse.
The second tattoo is a mix of Taiwan and food loving me. The Chinese characters on the pot is "Taiwan".
The last tattoo is the DC-Marvel loving me. Batman was the first animated series I saw of the DC Universe and Spiderman was the first animated series I saw of the Marvel Universe. (Batman the Animated Series and Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, respectively.) DC Comics is the first of the two I fell in love with before falling in love with Marvel, especially Marvel Cinematics Universe. Batman's costume is based off Batman the Animated Series costume while Spiderman, I believe is based off the Amazing Spiderman movies. It's the more recent of the Marvel movies , that had Spiderman, that I saw. A lot of personal symbolism within these icons, haha.
