Spent 4 hours (roughly ) coloring, shading and making up the background as I went. I guess roughly 5-6 hours for the whole drawing (brainstorm,sketch, line work and color).
That "box" was originally going to be a table or counter of some sort for him to lean on... then it became a box, with a pot/vase on it.deviantART link (to the image)
