Notes on how to draw hair

I ended up starting my morning with watching how to draw videos, two of which were videos of how to draw a male adult head in proportion and how to draw hair.

The following notes will probably make more sense to me rather than someone trying to read this so I apologize.

Side view of male adult head
ear is slanted not a 90 degree angle.
lower cheekbone line points to center of ear flap
y G shape for ear

front view of male adult head
cheek bones can be higher or lower on person's face ; under eye generally?
don't need to draw in lips completely for males; it looks like makeup if you do. Just indicate!
front view means you need to indicate that the head is a 3D object; ears ahead of upper head, cheekbone ahead of ears, chin ahead of everything.
the angle where the cheekbone area to chin turns inwards towards chin depends ; sometimes equal to lip height on face, sometimes below

male hair line - half of upper head
female hair line - upper 1/3 of upper head
* upper head -> above 1/2 of face, where eyes would start

Hair is soft!
to give soft feel , rather than thick hard lines, draw some dashes perp. to hair line.
where hair meets skin = soft
hard line = where hair is free standing
hair is going back in space
highlights = perp. to light.
