Interactive Storytelling - edit on Act 3
In order to add in Rose Water's backstory, I added more images that explained Rose Water's past (or at least hinted at her bitter childhood).
Act 3 video got updated as well.

Working on project; thunderstorm
After finishing my review for an exam I had earlier today, I spent the remaining time sketching the extra images for my Interactive Storytelling project between then and my exam.
I didn't get far though. I'm glad I didn't decide to work on the images after my exam and before my meeting (and coincidentally a black out); for the main reason of having no power in the building I was in for the meeting.
I'll try to get as much of the remaining images done before my class tomorrow night and Friday before my all nighter before getting on a bus to D.C for Sakura Matsuri.

The storm has put me into a relaxed mode, which I suppose is good as I've been back into stress mode lately. Projects (Senior Thesis, Games II and Interactive Storytelling), exam and history research paper were looming in my head the past few weeks. (Yes, all of them )

Balance in Haven, interactive story; Blog and website house keeping
Act 5 and 6 have been uploaded and annotated and linked to Act 4 and 5 respectively.
I still have to add a lot more sketches and images between the acts or within the acts themselves; a few of them are a bit too short.
I've come to realize that many of my pages [for this site] aren't labeled. This would be very important in terms of viewing the sub pages of my gallery. I've moved my portfolio, senior thesis project and About Me/Resume to another site so they are on their own and not cluttered with my personal stuff.
Check the Portfolio & Bio tab/page for more info!

Balance in Haven (Interactive Story)
I'm still wide awake after 3 in the morning, this could be bad for my sleeping schedule. Regardless I'm getting work done!
At the moment, I've got most of my videos made and uploaded on Youtube. They're unfinished images but the first version is mainly a proof of how it works. I don't think I can call it a proof of concept; it's also very roughly put together so a lot of the transitions and animation doesn't seem quite right still. I'll have to fix that when I don't have a test to study for! ( >_< )

Interactive Storytelling project - next batch of images
... will be uploaded later today when I wake up. It's almost 3am but I was able to get a good majority of the images sketched out. I realized after I called it a night that I forgot a key image to express an event for act 3 I believe; in addition I'm thinking if adding additional images of close ups for the two characters to show more detailed/ visible emotions rather than just their current poses.
But that's enough for now, I need to sleep so I can wake up at a reasonable time later today.
/edit *later today*
Despite not having a lot of images for this project, I was able to get all the images done for the animatic for my Games 2 group project.
As I mentioned in my 'almost 3 am ' post, I still need to add a few images, especially ones to show detailed expressions/close ups.

4:31 pm EST
I mentioned earlier in the day that I was missing images (sketches) that would give more details or help with transitions. They're not in act order but here they are!

Games 2 animatic - extra images
10:26 pm
The animatic for my group needed more back story so the art group decided to scrap the rabbit hop in the beginning and to add more images to bring out more details about Hawksey's backstory and to link the end of the animatic to the beginning of the gameplay.

Interactive Storytelling project - Act 3/4 ...
Not as many as I would have liked to get done in around 2 hours but I'm justifying it as time spent on poses, anatomy and proportions.

Interactive Storytelling project - new plan for work, progress Act 2...
My new plan is to get a sketched non colored version for the first version done and to go back in for color for final exam version
11:21 pm EST
As I mentioned earlier, I changed my plan of how I was going to go about with the images I needed for my Interactive Storytelling project. Now my plan is to get the sketches in and use those for the 1st version of my project. Then for my final version of my project, (or second version if need be) will be colored and shaded, most likely cell shaded.
It's actually faster this way; I take roughly 3 hours to get 12 sketched images done rather than the usual 2 hours per colored (sketched, colored, shaded).

Senior Thesis project - post user testing
A majority of the changes I had to make after user testing involved the stairs and the Progress cubes' (Rings Above City and City Chase) spacing.
For some reason Unity wasn't updating the changes I made in the gallery whenever I hit Play, so no matter what I was doing in Editor, the Progress Cube for Rings Above City concept kept running (rotating) into the stair steps, literally. So to save myself some time and trouble, I went into Maya and made the spacing changes there. Until I realized, the reason for this is because of the animation; the spacing for the animation is what it's defaulting to (most liikely). This meant I had to go back into Maya and redo the animation. (Ugh.) But to save time even more, I decided to only redo the animation (after moving the Progress Cubes) of the cubes that were giving spacing issues in Unity. Everything, for the most part, stayed in Unity when I brought over the updated Maya file but I had to re-add the text on all the images. Minor thing so it wasn't too bad.
In relation to the steps, I had to reorder the railings as some of them actually did the opposite of keeping people from falling off the stairs in either the left side had no prevention or the right side made it harder to get up the steps because of the rails.
To solve both the issue of climbing (jumping) the stairs and getting through those 2 progress cubes, I had to play around with the settings fro the character controller. It was a lot of guessing and checking since I had to make sure the things I changed would allow *both* getting up the stairs *and* through 2 cubes that have been getting people stuck. In the end, I made the character controller thinner (in terms of radius and depth) and increase the jump height. Both issues were fixed!
